무자막 시청기 | 1. 취향을 찾아서

 

내가 기억하기로 나는 중학생때부터 애니메이션, 일드, 미드를 봐왔다. 취향은 때에 따라 변했지만 더빙판은 별로 좋아하지 않았던 기억이 난다. 오히려 이 나이가 되어서야 한국어 더빙을 더 선호하게 된 것 같다.

밤을 세워가며 컴퓨터 화면을 보던 내 취미는 안그래도 좋지 않았던 시력을 더 좋지 않게 만들었고, 그렇지 않아도 내향적이고 부끄러움이 많았던 나는 이런 취미를 부끄럽게 여겼던 것 같다.

말이 길어질 것 같으니 각설하고, 이번주에 본 영상들을 기록한다. 처음에는 영화나 다큐멘터리로 시작했지만, 점점 흥미를 이끄는 것들로 이동했다. 지금은 범죄이야기나 가십같은 영상들을 주로 보고 있다. 생각보다 의미를 파악하는 데에 크게 문제는 없지만, 동사를 종종 못알아들을 때가 있는 것 같다. 나는 원래 토익을 봐도 LC만 잘했고 지금은 그때보다 더 잘한다. 헷갈리는 부분도 있지만 의미를 파악할 수 있을 정도로 들린다.

그리고 기록상에서는 한정된 문장구조를 주로 사용하고, 시제가 헷갈린다 ㅎ; 다음 포스팅부터는 긴 기록말고 O,X 표시만 해둘까 싶다. 조금 부담돼서 지속하기 어려울 것 같다.

Spent time : 2 hours	- I decieded to watch this movie because someone mentioned it was scarier than 'Hereditary'. - I watched it untill episode 1. It wasn't linguistically challanging, but I just didn't like it. not that fun.	- Watching...and done. I stopped watching because it was not suitable for my english level. And I think I should watch something more interesting, like shows that triggered dopamin secretion..I usually enjoy listening crime cases, so I'll give it a try.
Sun.Sep.10	Teen Dumps Baby in Trash, Then Goes to Dance at prom (Youtube)	반려동물의 숨겨진 슈퍼파워 (2022)
Spent time : 2 hours	- It's a crime case about a girl threw her infant in the bin. I can't fully understand this story, but I find myself more engrossed in this kind of video than in dramas or movies. - The suspect, her name is Alexee trevizo, is 19 years old. She managed to conceal her pregnancy until full term, and even her mother didn't know about it. - And she gave birth in hospital restroom (she complains back pain, so she can hospitalized.) and severed umbilical cord with her teeth before disposing of her baby in the trash. I feel deeply sorry for baby, but Alexee hasn't faced the consequences of her actions. She was just released without any punishment, which makes me angry.	- This documentary was about people communicating with their pet like dogs, parrots, cats and so on. - Most interest episode was about Bunny the dog. I remember watching her in youtube. She communicates with her mom by using buttons that play mom's voice when she pushes them. She pushed 'ouch','help' and 'paw' buttons when she had a thorn in her paw. She is such a clever and lovely doggy.

Spent time : 2 hours	- This video was about a Model who faked the color of her eyes. She has natural hazle eyes, but she lied to people, saying that her left eye was blue due to a medical condition. - At first, she gained some fame, and modeling career, but soon, the lies were exposed. She had used a contact lens on her left eye, and people found many pieces of evidence of her deception, yet she doesn’t stopped. - She was gradually losing her gains, and later on, alligations arouse that she had decided to undergo surgery to make her left eye to blue. These were just alligations, but I feel sorry for the dicisions she made. She is perfect as she is, but it seems she dosen’t feel content herself.	- It was a true crime involving an abused wife seeking revenge. Her name was Lorena Bobbitt(at that time), and husband's name was John bobbitt. They were married in the US, but Lorena was not American; she didn't even have a green card. After they got married, john lost his job and never found job again. He also started physically abusing his wife, Lorena. Becoming a complete jerk. He even sexually abused her at times. So, one day, she snapped after being raped. She cut off John's penis and threw it away.  - Unfortunately, John underwent surgery, and it was successful. I wish it hadn't reattached..but it did. Lorena confessed and was charged with assault, but the court also addressed John's abuse and rape. So she was found not guilty. - Honestly, If I were her, I would never, ever tell where his penis. jerk.
Tue.Sep.12	Tiktoker Fakes Tourettes, Mom Reveals : "They're sick with something else"(Youtube)	Some..surfing videos..
Spent time : 2 hours	- It was stories about tiktoker pretending to have Tourette's syndrome just to get famous. It reminds me of a man who pretended to have tourett's as well. and he was korean. Who on earth pretends to have a diagnosis just for fame? It makes me sick.	- I always love the idea of surfing (even though I've never done it), but I love it nonetheless. I enjoy watching the way they move on the waves and the sea waves themselves.
Wed.Sep.13	Barbie (2023)	Some..puppy videos....
Spent time : 2 hours	- Actually I was hesitant before watching..because it seemed to be adressing gender equality issues, and I didn't want to think about that at this time. but I really love Greta Gerwig's movies, "Ladybird", "Little women"..so I decided to watch "Barbie" too.  - It was good. I love to watch margot robbie's acting. she's perfect, but seems an anxious woman just like me.  - the movie convey messages about not focusing on gender issues, but rather on being yourself. It's something I've recently come to terms with. I've always wanted to be something, but It's fine to be me-a person with lots of anxiety, a fear of failure, and an obsession with body image. I can't be perfect. and that's perfectly okay.  - love Billie's song 'what I was made for' that was inserted in the movie. Billie's voice is always touching.
